Meet a Student Nurse program: April 24, 2008

The Admissions Committee of Abington Memorial Hospital Dixon School of Nursing believes that a satisfied student nurse is one who has made an informed career decision. In keeping with this belief, we began our "Meet a Nursing Student" in the Spring of 1985 as a unique career awareness program. Since that time several hundred high school students have participated in the "Meet a Nursing Student" program.

We are pleased to announce that Abington Memorial Hospital Dixon School of Nursing will offer this special career awareness program in the upcoming 2007-2008 academic year. This program is for young men and women interested in the possibility of pursuing a career as a professional nurse.

During “Meet a Nursing Student”, the future student nurse will have the opportunity to interact with Abington Memorial Hospital's student nurses in the hospital’s clinical setting and meet with members of the Admissions staff to discuss professional nursing as a career choice.

If you would like to attend this program, please download this information packet regarding the program, including an agenda and a parental permission form (for those under 18 who wish to attend).

If you are a guidance counselor, please download this information packet.

To register for the program, complete the following on-line form and mail a $5.00 check (payable to AMH Dixon SON) to secure your reservation. Lunch will be provided. Address is provided below.
