Ruth Seitter is a nursing instructor at Abington Memorial Hospital Dixon School of Nursing. She is also the faculty coordinator for Nursing 101: Foundations in Nursing.

Professional Experience
Ms. Seitter has a wide variety of expertise in nursing prior to instructing at Dixon. She was a Staff RN for twelve years in the areas of medical/surgical nursing, pediatric nursing, and post-anesthesia care nursing. She was also a nurse manager for fourteen years for the same day procedures unit and gastrointestinal procedures unit.

Professional Awards and Recognition
She is an Abington Memorial Hospital Ambassador and a member of Sigma Theta Tau since 1986. She received the 2002 Williamson Award which recognizes employee contributions and service to Abington Memorial Hospital's patients and staff. She received the Nursing Excellence Award in 2002.

Nursing Education As A Career
Ruth Seitter chose to advance her career as a nurse educator because she loves learning and believes that learning is a life-long process. She is committed to learning and nursing education. She enjoys being able to mentor and motivate students.
